He seems to be stuck between a rock and a hard place! LOL Couldn't resist.
Where is this guy? I'll have to check him out!
I've been through Chase a number of times. I got a speeding ticket going through there on Hwy 1. I think it was a 70 km zone. That was back in the 80's.

I'm looking to get some brake lines from Earl's. The Speed Seal type that Nessism mentioned.
I didn't see it in Nessism's little tutorial, what size hose do we run on the KZ's?
I was going to order some premade hoses from Z1. But they're out of some of the banjo's that I need.
Thanks

Another question!
The part # for the Carb Holders is 16065-028 for R/H and 029 L/H according to Partzilla and and couple others.
Z1 Enterprises has a set in stock but they're saying for 28mm. The 78 KZ1000 has a 26mm carbs correct?
There's a couple of other places that are stocking them as well, but don't say size. And Z1 has the best price.

The non-adjustable hose ends work fine, but the adjustable are a little more fault-tolerant.

Thanks Nessism, your brake line thread tutorial is clear and easy to follow. Once again you've helped us learn something new.

Apex is a great place to get your brake lines from. Raymond will set you up with a nice set of lines that will fit perfectly. We've got Apex lines on over half of our bikes. I put a set on the KZ 1000LTD recently.

I'll look into them as well.
When I got this ole bike, I was concerned that some parts may be hard to find. So far it's been good. A few places are out of stock on a few things.

The Apex lines also come with all new banjo bolts and they are in Canada. You can also get swivels if you need them for tight spots. I got one for the short line from the master cylinder to the junction block. You can see it under the headlight.

Carb manifolds -- I remember seeing a post on this forum stated the outside diameter on the manifold end is the same for both the VM28 and VM26, only the throat of the carb is 26 or 28 mm. therefore the same manifold would be used for both the VM26 and VM28, and the ones from Z1E will work.
Maybe another member can verify this ?

Thanks Scotty
Maybe I'll pull one off and measure the manifold at the head and also on the carb, before I order any.
I'll try to get a good reading with a digital caliper. 2mm isn't much !! But .....!

The 2mm difference is in the inside bore not the outside of the spigot.

Has anyone in Canada ordered brake lines etc. from Earl's Performance Plumbing.
I was going to order some stuff. But it appears they only ship by UPS.
I've order different items over the years, shipping VIA UPS. But the border brokerage fees were almost criminal in my view.
I was hoping they ship USPS, it takes a bit longer, but no brokerage fees.
I may look into APEX brake lines, as a second option.
Thanks in advance
