Ok so today I picked up my gas tank from my friend he did a great job on it.Now I just need to finish all the fab work and get the rest of the bike painted ha ha.
I also started where I left off last night on the top tree it looks pretty good, so now I can make a fixture to finish up the rest of the machine work that needs to be done.

Well this weekend I was a bit lazy so not much got done to bike. But I did get a cool pair of grips, A freind of mine made them on a manual lathe, He made a couple of sets and sent me a set (thanks Dan). He does some nice work.
Hopefully I can get some work done this week, I really need to get it to a roller.

Just a quick update, not much got done this week had to get some paying jobs done first you know how that is.
Today I made a holding fixture so I could machine the back of the tripple trees and wrote a program for the bar clamps. So over the week end I will cut the pinch slot in the trees, drill and tap for the pinch bolts and make the bar clamps (hopefully).

Your triples are certainly shaping up and looking good. You have experience and access to tools most of use would give our left nut to have  It should be a sexy bike the way things are going

Ok so not much got done saturday as I had planned, but I did get the pinch bolts, and pinch slots cut in the trees. Instead of writing a program for this I just set them up in the holding fixture and clamped it to an angle plate and cut them on the mill. I think they turned out pretty good I am happy with them, once I get the bar clamps made, I will send them out to the anodizer to get anodized black. Then I will contrast cut or ingrave something in them to give them a little style. I will cut the bar clamps monday and make a fixture so I can build the handle bars.

Today I finished the top bar clamps for the trees ,so now there done time to move on. I was going to make a welding fixture for the handle bars but I went ahead and cut a set of foot peg brackets that I had drew up last week. They are made for a after market set of foot peg assemblies for a gsx-r 1000. I made them with plenty of adjustment down, back,up whatever. Not sure if I like them or not just yet I'll see if they grow on me.

Thanks guy's for the comments on the parts. I try to take as many pics as I can as I building but sometimes I get ahead of my self.
I think I am with you Leon, I'm not sure if I like the knife points either but sometimes you have to see it on the bike before you can tell if you like it or not. I might change them up, But I will leave them for now and maybe another idea will hit me.
