Nice work! It really looks neat and clean. Will the oil temp sensor be hooked to a light or a temperature gauge?

Thanks 79MKII,
I have a VDO 0-300 degree electric gauge. I plan to make a new instrument housing to use some VDO gauges and I would love a big Autometer tach too.:woohoo:

Thanks!B)
The sensor and gauge came from ebay; search for VW Bug/Beetle or Porsche oil temp sensor. I purchased both from the same vendor. I also picked up a VDO cylinder head temp gauge and a sensor wire that mounts under 14mm spark plugs; all VW parts.
Any place that sells VW/Porsche performance parts should have it I would think. I looked on ebay out of habit, not necessity.
The K&N filters came with the carbs, I can look for the model# this weekend. I have everything in my Uncle's garage.
K&N is easy to find with the right model# etc., or search for 86-92 GSXR 750-1100 Oval/Pod filters maybe?
Hope this helps.

Thanks...that is very kind. It has been both fun and sometimes a serious headache doing the project.
I'll see about getting a list together and maybe some photos. As far as vendors go, there are a zillion places that sell this stuff. I will happily list the sizes, configurations, and part#'s of the bits I used.

Each individual can decide on color combinations and hose choices; that being said, Summit and/or Jegs are probably the easiest chioces:cheer:.

For example, Jegs makes five or six different colors of push-on hose. Then there is regular "AN" hose in many colors and Braided Stainless. You can get solid red fittings, solid blue, red-blue, black, black-red, chrome, stainless, and probably others I don't know about.
I'll post up a complete list of parts when done. Maybe some more detailed assembly instructions also.

Best Regards and thanks once again for the encouragement.

Below is a quick and dirty list of hardware for the top end oiler project. Paste the part# in the website(s) for pics.
Again, these are the parts that I have used or are on order or not yet installed. Personal choice for others is wide open.
I'll post up pics and parts for the oil-lines/oil cooler project when done.

Looking good Tux. But at first glance I was a little worried about you your little straight runs. On aircraft, it's a general rule to always add a little slack in the lines because when pressure is added, the lines swell, consequently shortening the line a little.
But aircraft run hydraulic lines with working pressures of 3000 psi or more. I'm sure that won't be an issue with your motor. How much pressure does a KZ oil pump put out? About 8psi? Way less than 3000 to be sure.
How much psi is that blue stuff rated for anyway? Never seen it before.

There is a small bit of flex/strain relief factored into the straights after messing one up on the first try. The run is appx. 80mm at maybe 3-4 PSI at best.
The hose and fitting connection is rated at 250 PSI max operating pressure, burst pressure is not specified, more than adequate for the application:lol: .

The rest of the oil system parts came from Summit on Friday:woohoo:
I took a few phone-camera pics and will get some better one's tomorrow.
The -6AN to 1/4"NPT swivels, and 90 degree -6AN push on hose ends for the oil cooler.
