In the long run I ended up ordered a replacement stator locally.

This is what tariffs do, change your buying habits and make you look for local items. Nobody wants to give government extra cash for nothing.

Still looking for local coffee. Do you know where they grow coffee in the upper Midwest? My coffee went up about 40% this month.

Coffee cost has risen worldwide but not due to tariffs.  It was a bad crop year.  A tin of my favourite brand has risen 50%.  And I don't know anywhere in NA that grows coffee beans.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Has anyone noticed that shipping prices on Webike have practically tripled recently? I’m really confused and unsure why.

I mean yeah, that’s why I posted about it here, it’s just that from what it looks like it’s not the cost of the products gone up, or that they are factoring in any kind of duties, but that the carriers prices are way up.

In some cases the carrier not the vendor collect duties etc prior to delivery although my understanding was it doesn't kick in until the end of the month on items under $800 so maybe there is "more to come"

"More to come" is a certainty.  What that means, is why I posted this thread.  It seems that trade agreements are very fluid these days, as are implementation dates for said agreements. I don't order much stuff overseas, so not hugely worried, but it would be nice to understand what we are up against.  My biggest concern is getting some random bill in the mail that wasn't expected.

I think a random bill in the mail is unlikely, from experience here UPS hold your parcel until you pay and duties that are owed

I sold a set of carburetors to a guy in England.  (This was a few years ago, not the current confusion.)  When they landed, the dude was presented with a fairly substantial customs import bill.  He was shocked, and asked me to pay.  Um, no, I said.  I can't control what import fees a country levies.  He quickly reversed course, and said he understood. Whew!   It sucks when the unexpected happens...

Yea I believe here currently (dependent on value) it's 20%VAT + 9% import duty so a "good chunk"

Each country has their own import/customs/tariff rules.  No two the same...
