Had a little time this afternoon,so I played with a couple of motor mount ideas. The front mount is .500 thick and I counterbored the holes to accept the factory kawasaki motor mount nut and changed the frame mount bolts to socket head cap screws, I think it gives it a much cleaner finished look. The lower mount is .375 thick it's just flat and a little thicker than stock. Here is a couple of pics of the top mount.

Really aint far from what usually happens. I'm hoping to have a cnc on the floor by the end of year. Got the bridgeport, lathe, 2 tig welders, mig welder, all tooled pretty good but I want a cnc.

I can tell you how to get a vmc. Start out with a bridgeport work about 4 to 6 hours a night when you get home from your job and 10 to 12 hours aday on the weekends,SAVE THE MONEY buy a tig welder, work about 5 years 12 to 14 sometimes 16 hours a day SAVE THE MONEY. Then you have $25,000 or $30,000 to put down on an new vmc.. Then you have about 4 years of payments at around $800.00 a mounth. And thats it I'm sure there are other ways but thats what worked for me.[/quote]

Today I decided that I needed to get this thing in full roller form. So I turned off the phones closed the doors and did some work. First I had to fab up some frame bushing/spacers for the swingarm mount to take up the side to side movement. Then I finished capping the frame off where I cut the subframe off at. With that done I could mount the swingarm and shock linkage and get the location for the lower link block that had to be welded on the underside of the swingarm. And now we have a roller!

Now I can start on the electrics as far as mounting and location.

So now that I have a roller I need to get to work on the outside drive. I have never built an outside drive before so I will document it as best as I can so maybe it will help someone along the way.

I picked up a 50 pitch sprocket blank so I can weld it to a long spacer so I can machine it down to get the offset that I need. When I get that right I will send my measurements out and have a couple of sprockets made to what offset I want.

Then I have the painful task of taking the factory sprocket cover and picking as many points on it as I can. Then I should be able to draw a outboard bearing support plate that fits like and looks like a factory cover, hopefully lets see.

why do u need to modify the sprocket cover ,when u have the outside drive? cant u bring the stock sprocket or a 1/2" offset sprocket, straight back to the out side drive sprocket?

Good question Mark. I am machining a new sprocket cover/outboard bearing support that is as close to factory looking as I can. My chain is running on the outside of the frame so I need alot more than a 1/2 inch offset more like a 2 1/2 or 3 inch.
