Well alrighty then. I’m getting a full 2 volt drop at the white/red connector compared to straight to the battery with the key on. With the coil wires disconnected, I’m getting 12.70 at the battery and 12.65 at the connector. I’m thinking that’s a good thing. Doesn’t seem to be much voltage drop thru my ignition switch or kill switch. My resistance on both coils is 3.5ohms.

Is that 2 volts excessive?

Any more than 0.5v with everything connected is indicative of a resistance fault

If that’s with stock points it will only get worse with the DynaS, they are “power hogs”. What white red connector? You need to check at the yellow/red double bullet connector. That’s what feeds the coils.

Oops, my bad. Yes, the yellow/red double female connector that feeds the coils. So the Dyna system I have is the full monty. Plate, magnetic pickup, coils, plug wires and plug ends. My choke plungers are now on their way to Zed and when I get those back I’ll run it again with the stock ignition to see if it runs any better on the bottom end. I’m going to put in the Dyna system regardless but I want to do a step by step process to really find out where the issue is.

That being said, this bike screams. It pulls very hard and once it’s warmed up, it idles just fine. It’s just a little doggy on the very very bottom end, like starting off from a stoplight. When I blip the throttle, it actually drops a couple hundred rpm below idle rpm super briefly then goes back to the rpm it was at. Does that make sense.

Your first post in this thread says you have pods? Also air corrector jets. Zed1015 is the only guy I know selling correct size. Did you buy them from him? Not sure either you have confirmed what size jets and clip position your carbs have.

I have K&N air filters. I have Zeds air corrector jets. Clips in middle (3) position and 117.5 main jets. The stock jets are 115 and I could easily change back to those but……

You MUST return to the STOCK pilot jets with the air correctors.
This is stated clearly in my instructions for fitting them.
ALL settings , pilot jet, needle position etc back to stock apart from the mains increase.
The larger pilots will be causing the off idle "fluffing" due to momentary OVER richness at that point.

Here are the standard parts. Something as Zed mentioned is causing a rich off idle stumble. The plugs show that also. Need to fix the voltage to the coils, could be weak spark at low rpm then once battery voltage rises you start to get a fatter spark.

pilot……….. 17.5
main………..115
needle…….. 5DL3
needle jet…. 0-6
slider………. 1.5

Ignore my last post.
I misread it as you having larger pilots.
The 117.5 mains should be correct and they wouldn't affect the bottom end anyway.
Leaking choke plungers are a likely suspect for low end fluffing so hopefully the new seals may cure it.
