These carbs came off a 76 KZ900 my dad is working on, who knows if they are original though.
Yes! They are original for the 76 with the smoothbore type spring style slide lifter arms.

Post a picture of the front (airbox side) of those. I don’t recognize the spring loaded slide arm mechanism

Matt, no missing parts like emulsion tube, main jet or spring loaded slide arm mechanism.

These are the spring assist slide arm assemblies im referring to.

It's the early variants that use these.  I've just finished rebuilding some, with gold colored slides, that are the same.  One difference though, the set I did have air screws, and these seem to have fuel screws.

Nessism you wrote I'm surprised they don't have the joining plate across the top caps.
Is that joining plate only on those VM 26? Because my VM29 set has it also

I've never seen a set of VM29's with that joining plate.  Got any photos?  Maybe someone installed it after the fact, because I don't think they came with that part.

The 29 smoothbores didn't come with the brace plate as stock but that's not saying that one couldn't have been included as an option when ordered new from Mikuni.
When buying the smoothbores you would tell them what machine it was for and they would come base jetted to suit.
There were three diiferent part numbers VM29A2 (Honda), A7 (Kawasaki) and A12 (Suzuki) which just differentiated the internal jet, needle and slide specs.

It's for joining!
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
