Well, found the idle problem.. As written from the beginning, something just wasn't right with the idle mechanism/setup...
After speaking with some CM guys, Walt and in speaking with Larry, in closer observations it looked as though the idle screw washer should have been on the stop plate side versus the nut side....
In comparing to the Keihin parts diagram, sure enough.... Keihin or Sudco installed in correctly.... I truly wasn't at the maxed value as I thought, close but not maxed. Pulled off the spring and I still couldn't thread the idle screw the whole way due to semi strip threads...
Off to Harbor Freight, 40 piece metric tap & die set, ran the idles screw through the 5m .8 die, inserted the washer on the correct side and she purr's now at 800-1000rpm not problem... SHIZA!!!!!... I have more than enough to increase the rpm as required and I can now turn the idle set screw with fingers.....
Thanks guys.... Now for an added bonus....
Well it was an exciting day....
More like a walking hard on....
TOOK MY FIRST RIDE!!!!!!!
granted, only up and down the street due to not registered yet but she pulls like a MOE FOE!!! Nearly yanked me off the seat....
You hit that throttle and there's no hesitation, she pulls with G-force... nearly crapped myself!
Thanks all that provided tips & guidance throughout this project.... And yes, I still have considerable tweaking (jetting) to accomplish yet....

Dude! That ain't right! Palm trees? Riding with a T-shirt?? It's 17 degrees here today in Frosty Ohio
Sounds real good! I can't wait for spring to arrive (probably sometime in May

Not required as seen in the avi clip on the KZ900/1000...
This was included for those that have the deep valve covers and weird spark plug locations in the head....
If you can find one for $30, Hell of a deal, all you need is the 14mm see through plug and the 6" extension for the coil to spark plug boot connection...
Do share where you are buying for others....
