When the engine heats up, don't the cylinders and head expand upward? If so, won't it stress out the frame if it's attached solidly? Whenever I see a head attached to the frame there's usually a rubber cushion involved, no?

just got off of phone with falicon.rebuild and balance and weld is around $580.00,they tell me stock rods should be good for 200hp with no problem but im thinking about a set of knife rods too just incase i do a lorcan and decide to pump up some serious boost and hit the nitrous button so thats around another $700.00 on top of it.i think that would a cheap insurance policy considering what im dumping into the rest of this project and id rather not spit a rod out between my legs at 10,000 rpms! :evil: :P im gonna check with APE also to see who their crank guy is ;)

allright as promised,the wheels are slowly moving again bought some goodies for my dremel today,got in a fight with the wife now im off to louisville to lock myself away for a couple days in the garage with a die grinder a welder and a bunch of files and a cae of pepsi and a bag of doritos!ill be carving on my z1 frame,an empty set of cases and a big block and j-head.im going in boys ,if im not back in a couple days send more doritos and pepsi! :whistle: :evil: :P

solomrus did the tig welding,ive got a hobart handler 175 mig welder and an ac/dc stickwelder i like to use for most stuff but it screws with my pacemaker so anytime i spend a day welding i spend next 3 days wishing hadnt!:blink: :ohmy: :S :unsure: :P ive still got a lot more weding an grinding to do ,ill try and get some progress pictures here in a few dysB)
