Ha, You were soo confident of completion you went and bought another. Good For You!! Actually redoing a GS1100 now. Had the notorious chatty clutch basket beefed-up by Jay at APE probably a week before his passing.

Gotta love the GS, it's a great bike but my heart belongs to the KZ.

The GS 1100 is comfortable to ride except during hard acceleration. I weigh 135lbs and am almost sitting on the tank to keep the front wheel on the ground.

Well had a little setback on the completion but will soon be back on it. Not leaving it hanging so some good things are happening. Updates soon!

We are back on it after an episode with the Shingles. Back to completing the wiring then the chain alignment and extending the upper rear shock studs. Engine is ready to be fired up and broken in. Having an issue with the header collector not sweeping out far enough from under the bike to be able to clear a path for the Kirker slip on. I assume we can buy turnout pieces to weld on to it? Still have remove the rear footpeg mounts also. All in all it is coming together nicely.

Nearly there. When I did my exhaust I bought a length of pipe and a selection of bends. It helps to use a piece of flexible intake hose so you can visualise what you are trying to achieve

That Shingle thing can be nasty! Seems it affects afflicted persons differently. I've had it for years and can feel when it's coming on but i'm lucky and it only develops in one spot. My Friend has it and everytime he gets it he has to go to the hospital!
