Also managed to get the stand assembled and re-fitted after plating the required parts and fitted the OEM (Suzuki) chain guard with some spacers to move it in as necc, it's going to want a trim though (too long !)
I also got my hydraulics back from the blaster, any UK guys looking for blasting in the East Midlands I would highly recommend Shawn at "Vapour-shine" he's a really nice retired guy who works from a shop at the bottom of his garden and is really fair with his prices. He did my parts in 2 days for $50 :) (just don't be a rush if you go there though, that boy can talk :))

My buddy "Honda Alan" is from Sunderland and he's another expat that talks a mile a minute, very knowledgeable on all things Honda! Not sure if that is a English trait or not. We usually camp out together at the swap meet, he is a retired Engineer who worked in nuclear power production. He does the talking for both of us, I do the drinking :)

Keep up the good work, bike is looking great.

Bike is looking fantastic Guy. Your abilities never fail to impress me. I must pop over and see it in the flesh when you are available.

As another weekend draws to a close (holiday in the UK today) things are still moving forwards and still experimenting with new (to me) processes. I have been dabbling in the world of anodising (what a PITA :() with varying levels of success. I have now done the rear master and calliper and also the front callipers (a bit patch in places but acceptable and will "weather" I'm sure)

Now with the anodising done I have wrapped up the rear-sets (can't believe how many individual components make up OE rear-sets !!) I wanted to clean and replate the peg mounts and springs so this meant drilling out the riveted factory pins I have made replacements in stainless that are now secured with "E" clips. I have also made a stainless "clevis pin" to connect the rear master to the pedal, this is flush to clear the heal guard and is now secured with a stainless roll pin rather than a rusty split pin. All in all happy with the way things are going :)

Looking great mate. It was good to see it in the flesh last week and looks as good in real life as it does in the photos.

Love what you did to your kickstand. Love the bike you have built. That kickstand absolutely would have helped me. I must have cut/welded and chromed four of them over the years trying to get it just right. Still have them. LOL.

Thanks Joe, just seemed to make sense since the ride height is adjustable and I needed to straighten out the "kink" anyway to clear the gear selector :) - throughout I have tried to forward think possible issues so I only have to do it once

Forward thinking would have saved me a ton of money over the years. Always had the vision.....just took a lot of time and never taking NO  you cant build or do that for an answer to get something done. Lol
