Can anyone tell me what these parts are?
The flat plate mounts in from of the battery box and helps to support the airbox. The hump piece is part of the rear fender mount. And the small piece looks like maybe it's a helmet hook where someone cut the hook off?

Looks like I'm missing part number 18 in the battery box diagram. CMS doesn't list the part - any idea what part number it is and what it's for?

That part acts as a clamp to hold the battery in place. I think that part is common to all of the 77-80 KZ1000?Looks like I'm missing part number 18 in the battery box diagram. CMS doesn't list the part - any idea what part number it is and what it's for?

Anyone have any photos of where the tool case goes? Didn't have one on the bike but you can get replika ones pretty cheap so might be worth it.

Interesting - it's not in the parts list on CMS but is in the diagram.
Yeah, the same is true for Partzilla for the '77. The diagram shows #18, but that part is not in the list.

The current database has a lot of errors and issues. The old Kawasaki hosted one was really good. I miss it. I'm guessing the same part was used from '77 to '80. It looks the same in the diagram.

The tool case rests on top of the air box filter cover and silencer tube. It's not really secured to anything. Do you plan to run the OE air box?
