Alrighty then. I put it back to stock meaning the stock ignition and it’s still shutting off on high beam. Maybe it’s the switch itself. I’ll see what I can do.

The Hi-Lo switch might have a short in it, but it seems unlikely that it just coincidentally happened at the same time you changed the ignition switch.

Since you've left a lot of repeat questions unanswered, I can't really assess what the bike's overall condition and history is.
I'm not sure if you've ever tried the suggestion I posted several times now as that would have given some clues about the issue with the hi-Lo switch. I can only go with the most likely possibilities based on prior experience on other bikes which might not be relevant to your situation. It's hard to help when there is a lack of information.

Alrighty then. Again. When I go back to the aftermarket ignition, and plug in all the relays. Meaning the RLD and the self canceling turn signal and another one I can’t remember. The bike will start on high. And it will start on ACC. But the heads light is still on. I’m super confused rn. Honestly it would be great to talk on the phone because it’s different every single time I remove a relay. It will work in some aspects and not in others. Or it will pop and crackle when the starter goes but it won’t fire up and idle.

I really hate this. It’s so frustrating to be so close.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Well remember I just said I converted all the stuff back to stock. I put the original ignition switch back in and all the wires. And it still did it . Could one of the relays be broken?

Thanks

Don’t know if this will help at all. Could this be something with the reserve lighting device?

So, currently. The way I have it set up I can start the bike in IGN and on ACC. But the headlight stays on on ACC. And the bike still shuts down when high beams are on and won’t start on high.

Thanks.

All works fine now. I hooked up the dyna s system to the high beam switched 12v

So now the bike runs as expected accept it still runs with the headlights on in the ACC position.

Tha for all the help so far.

According to my manuals, the head light is always on , on the US models. Can’t imagine yours would be any different
82-KZ1100-A2 shaft
82-GS850g shaft
81- kz1000 Ltd 1075

Does your ignition switch have an actual ACC position? Most 80s ignition switches I've seen have Lock - OFF - ON - Park.
