Hi All,
I am new here. I am trying to revive a GPZ1100 B2 1983 or 1984. It has carbs and the LCD display on the tank.
I require a wiring diagram to repair the chopped mess of wires that came with it.
I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance.

Edit: It turned out that I actually needed a ZX1100-A1 1983 Wiring diagram for the 1983 GPZ1100 and was helped by one of the forum members

does the bike look like this:
motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/classic_bikes/1983-gpz1100.jpg
or like this:
www.batescycle.com/img/bikes/kaw_gpz1100_1983.jpg

the first is a B1 or B2, which are 81 or 82, the second is 83 or 84. If you need the diagram for the first one, I ahve it at home and can send it to you later. Neither of these came with carbs originally so you might have a tangled mess of useless wires to sort through :(

If it has a LCD display on the tank than it has to be a ZX1100-A (83-84) but is it a US model or Canadian model? The diagrams are quite a bit different.

Thanks for the replies!
The pictures do not help much as the bike arrived in boxes! The engine number is KZT10BE018xxx and I assume the carbs were retrofitted.

It is a non european model which has LCD display on the tank. It also as a mono shock on the rear wheel. It also has a 4 relay and fuse panel combined.

We were told its a 1984, but the engine number gives it as 83.
I will appreciate any wiring diagram for the GPZ1100 B1 or B2 for 83/84 with the LCD display shown.

Much appreciated!

Your 2nd picture has more of the bits we have and may be the same. I will really appreciate a copy when you can get to it.
Thanks

There is no GPZ "B" model in 83/84 The "B" model had a standard "J" series engine with some better cams. In 83/84 the engine was quite a bit different. In 83/84 it was a ZX "A" model. Is it a Canadian or US model? The schematics are different. What you have are bits and pieces from different bikes. The engine is definitely a 1982 "J" series engine. What is the Bike frame #? By that we can determine what that is.

The GPZ1100 has frame number: ZXT10B-000059
The engine number: KZT10BE018xxx
It is a South African model and has the headlight on/off switch and no running lights
If you only have a Canadian or US model that would help me and I will try and figure the rest out. Previous owners may have interchanged parts over the years as it definitely quite molested!
Your help is much appreciated!

That is a diagram for a 1982 KZT10B. There is nowhere that I can find frame ZXT10B There was no LCD display on the tanks of Pre-83 GPz1100s. There are parts here for two or three different bikes here. Check that frame # again or post a picture of the sticker on the neck. that way the date of manufacture is visible and the frame #. The weiring diagrams were WAY different between the KZ and the ZX models. Simply just in the fact that the 81/82 had a mechanical spark advance and the 83-85 had an electronic spark advance.
