Not sure what the carb on the left is, the hat is larger, the pilot mixture jets are a smidge larger in diameter. and the fuel connector tubes/tee are of a larger diameter. Please identify what the carb on left is, it has 49400 Fy29 on the side. The one on the right is CV BS34, I'm quite certain of that. Much thanks!

I do not know what it is. Some more data might help. Will say there are clones being made and sold. Will say the IDs stamped on the Mikuni carbs stock on several GS bikes begin with a 4. i have seen a list with has 4900 listed as stock on early 80's GS1100 as BS34ss carbs. Am I saying that is what they are NO
As I said I do not know what it is. Others here may well know.

Thanks for your response! Really there is no more data is on there, but all I wanna know is if it's a BS36, 34, or 38. The hats are a bit bigger, my BS34 hats are not compatible, and they are spaced for a Suzuki.or Yamaha

Should be a Suzuki GS. That 5-digit number is the last of the 10 provided by Suzuki. Search thru partzilla starting at 1980 models.

I can't see the picture.  All I see is a tiny little thumbnail.

Regarding Suzuki carbs, the 1000 and 1100 bikes used BS34's.  There are some slight differences between shaft and chain bikes.  BS36's were used on the GS1150 model.

To learn it size measure the throat of the carb where the slide meets it.  It should give you the size.

Let's make this easy...with photo differences. Like mentioned, buying on ebay ya gotta know certain perimeters of what is original or touted as such. So.. note the differences between the Suzuki and Kawasaki versions. The Suzuki casting boss's near the pilot fuel screws were not drilled and have a brass fitting barb, only #2, for petcock vacuum. Why, because they had allen screws in the intake port of the head  to access sync in the casting. Whereas the Kawaski were drilled and have brass barbs on all of them for sync procedure. Also noteworthy, Yamaha used a similar Mikuni design, also printed on the side but "another bird of various design intents". Second denote of recognition, Suzuki, had a lip of larger milling in the intale side of venturi, see pic.

And some other differences while on the tangent of dissimilar item bits between the era of when these type Mikuni carbs reigned supreme during the early 80's. Suzuki choke plungers never used the sealing bellows, just simple rubber sealers. Easy way to differentiate, Look at the photo differences between the Kawasaki (bellow sealing lands x2) on the plunger compared to the singular land for the Suzuki. And many more tidbits but i won't bore you fella's with that.

Thank you for sharing the changes between the carbs as you have noted. Interesting how different things can be noted if looking closely at the items from each maker.
