i have an 1984 gpz that just finished putting together and im trying to get the carb straight. i just got a new rebuild kit with 115 main jets and 37.5 pilot jets. the previous owner had 135 main jets which i believe is it much. the bike has pod filters and a delkovic 4 into 1 exhaust. currently the bike only likes to idle on full choke and with no choke she dies. anyone have any thoughts on this? will adjusting the clip on the jet needle fix this. would adjusting the butterfly valves on it fix this as well? please anyone let me know what you can.

Did you break down the carbs fully and soak them in carb dip before installing the different jets?  Replace all the various O-rings?

The stock main jet seems to be a  110.  You are going to have to bump the size more than just 115 with your setup.  That said, that has nothing to do with getting the bike to idle right.
