As all KZ440 LTD owners know, these parts are hard to find. I have the lower air box and the filter element. Just need to fabricate the Cap Box. Can an owner that has the stock setup please reply to this post with the inside diameter of the intake ports on this box and the length of the box itself (not including the top overlapping mounting tab)?

Hmm. Thought I uploaded a couple. Let me try again. This is the original part that I am trying to replicate. So need dimensions and inside diameter of the intake holes please.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI could have sworn somebody in the past year had more comprehensive measurements, but I couldn't find them. I may have been mistaken because I didn't see anything in my notes. I try to save stuff like this.

Here's something I've never seen before: an actual 440 airbox cap for sale on EB. and it's NOS. but expensive.

Yea, saw that one too. Thanks for searching for one for me. Just not excited to pay that much for one. That is more than I paid for the whole bike. I figure the key is to get the right pressure and flow. If I use a stock foam filter element, use the same amount of restriction (2x 1 inch tunnels) and a box with the same volume, I should get the same result as this $250 piece of plastic.

If I can get out to the garage, I'll pull mine and measure it out.

Ok, the tubes
52.86mm total tube depth
61.27mm center to center tube spacing
37.81mm inlet outer diameter tapers down to 26.85mm within 5.12mm of depth

I edited my last post with the measurements. One of these days I'll get it 3D scanned and we can just print this thing out.

Hey F64! Great info and really appreciate you taking the time to measure the box. This will REALLY help. 3D printer is an excellent idea - if I had one. I will just have to resort building it the old fashioned way.
