Help identifing carbs
31 Jul 2019 17:41
I pulled this rack of carbs off of my '79 kz650 and cant seem to figure out exactly what they are. They are mikuni CV carbs and I was told they are probably off a later year kz750 but don't want to make any guess purchases because they need a new jet kit.

Why do you think the jets need to be replaced?

Well the pilot jets on 2 and 3 have been stripped pretty bad and I dont want them to get stuck down in there. Also, they are stock mikuni jets but Im running a 4into1 and pods so I think I need to buy a stage 3 jet kit ?

A number of 82-on KZ750s had Mikuni BS43 carburetors. The 82-83 KZ650-CSR has Mikuni BS32 carbs. You could compare yours to EB pics.
ps: it would help to rotate that one pic 90o. upside down & sideways pics are kind of hard to look at.
