Carb Gasket Leak?
27 Jul 2019 11:41
I suspect that’s what it is, but want collective confirmation. There’s a slight leak on the side of my carb. You can see it in the photo. Float level seems to be fine; per float gauge. 78 KZ650.
I’ve attached some pics.

Looks like you need some new bowl gaskets.
Keyster offers a Special rubber gasket for the bowls.

Is the fuel Tee leaking? Did you change the O-rings?

I like the Keyster gaskets. Soft and spongey feel to them.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Thanks, y’all. Gonna get some new gaskets. They’re worn. Yea, it was leaking on center stand. Pulled the carbs and cleaned them too for good measure.

I think if you can take another photo and shine the light just slightly above where it is in your last photo (good photo BTW), then you can determine if it might be the fuel pipe leaking.

Reason for asking if it leaks when on side or center stand is because if it leaks when on the center stand and your fuel heights are correct its not going to be the bowl gaskets at fault because your fuel level is below that height. So logic would say fuel T O rings or conecting pipes O rings and its weeping down the carb side to the lowest point. I.e. the bowls making it look like bowl gaskets at fault.
