It doesn't take much bike to throw you off the high side when the tire grabs. Case in point:

1978 KZ1000 A2 Click--->Build Thread
2004 ZX-10R
2007 Harley Sportster 1200
2020 Harley Street Glide Special

a 2 degree change either way in air temp throws that out the window! :laugh:
dont forget track conditions,air pressure in tire,clutch slipping,reaction time........... :woohoo:

I have personally seen a stock KZ1000 run 12.3-12.5 e.t.'s. Not a common sight though. Have also seen similar bike with different rider running in the mid-13's, so a lot is in the rider sitting behind the bars. I have had my 1075, 29 smoothies, V&H street header with baffle in, otherwise stock motor and stock wheelbase in the 11.4's but usually in the 11.7-11.8 range with an occasional 11.6 thrown in there to confuse me. I KNOW there is more there but that poor 130/18 tire can't handle much more then that. That's with a 720 lb. bike and rider. I need to check my cams as I know they are retarded (no wisecracks! lol) but not sure how much. That's in mid-summer heat around 90*. Many years ago, guys around here were running 11.8's consistently with KZ1000's with only a header and a slick...no bars and otherwise stock...motor and chassis except for struts.
1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationStu - maybe you should build your engine from these...just need the internals and a head.
