I also don't like being in large crowds at all. I avoid crowds whenever possible. I find it better to do things with one or a few friends...it simply has more quality for me! Crowds kill everything...but that's just my personal opinion...!
(( Last Sunday, for example, on our trip, we first visited a huge vintage car market (motorcycles and cars). After about an hour, I felt as if I'd seen everything a thousand times over the past four or five decades. Maybe I'm just "oversaturated" when it comes to that...but driving the tour was definitely the better adventure for me! ))

That road looks dangerous! Concrete curb to the Left and Concrete half balls to the Right. No drinking and driving there, ha.

The asphalt is good, the curve radius is very good. If you know how to handle a bike, nothing should happen...but of course you're right. The concrete bollards are deadly if you throw your bike away...they put them along this road back then to discourage people from parking there (there's a lake around the bend behind my bike), and of course, no one at the road authority thinks about motorcyclists...The only thing they always have the ability to do, is flash by radar there, or 500 meters later...

This stip along the river (it flows behind the dike to the left of my bike) leads past a lake after the bend...and has five good curves! - We often had one or two "private" races there in the evenings in the early 80s. It was usually for a tank fill-up or a few drinks. Although I would like to say that we weren't riding there drunk; This strip required a certain amount of concentration if you wanted to get through it at a good speed; it was always a good thrill. But that's no longer possible these days. It's too busy, people are running across the road, and the sheriffs are also on the lookout. If you're lucky, you might catch a good moment in the morning and let it rip a little...This morning, i´ve take 3 runs between,..and another with a stop in the middle for the pictures, just to show you the perspectives.

May you all have as much fun on your bikes as I do...!!!

A supplement to what the email thoughts contained. You mention "orings" as the cause but was it really? Ever wonder why a smoothbore carb used a Complete Needle Jet and Main Jet holder in one assembly? Because the possibilities of loss of vacuum and just sucking air was eliminated. Nobody ever mentions this but bizarre running can Certainly be caused from the needle jet and jet holder not sealing as one when tightened down. I've also seen the Hamfisted persons waay over tighten these and they buckle the jet holder resulting in a slide needle that gets stuck/interference movement in throttle slide action. Ya gotta realize the Z1200 KZ900 had similar Jet holder but yet NO o-ring but worked just fine. And YES You have MUCH better paving mandates then here in the US!! That road looks well engineered and applied. I know me some pavement and drainage requirements!

I've overhauled a lot of these "Z" carburetors, but I've never had this problem before! It was definitely the seal between the jet holder and the housing! There are also 26mm carburetors that don't have this O-ring..( Z900 A4 ?)....and by the way, I was never really happy with the Z1000 A1/A2 carburetors: Only the mixture screw from below...difficult to handle...I prefer the 28mm ones on the Z1R, or all of the Z1, Z1A, and Z1B series..., with the airscrew from side, for me, they are much better!!!

I still have here for spare, VM26 from a Suzuki GS1000, with both mixture AND air srews equipped,...will check them over winter, maybe changing with the actual carbs...
Double-Cable holder is a little "higher", so i must change the holder to the Kawasaki one...

Yes, mostly roads ok here, exept, they are worn out ;-) and that´s a problem here in the last decade, government hadn´t do the job right for our paid taxes...same problem like everywere in the world....

BTW:   I have to go, to be on the road again, weather is pretty fine, bike is calling, can ya hear it ?  ;-)

I am jealous Joe, the way things are going I will be lucky to catch the back end of the nice weather here (not willing to compromise at this stage though)

It's perfectly fine for you to go all out and stick with it! (I thought you had another bike to ride?)
But don't be jealous, Guy, everything comes to those who can wait! And your work on your bike is very fine, at the end, all will work perfectly together, and the fun you will have withit!

It's hard to imagine having to take another 4-5 months off from riding. The season is slowly coming to an end here, so I went for a nice ride this morning...

As mentioned earlier this Morning Joe, Your Cool Stuff arrived!! Perhaps sacrilegious resting them on a Norton Commando engine    . Tiffany Quality in trade for some crappy orings, ha.

It was a pleasure, Clay, you're welcome! - ( Maybe, it will help  ya by screwing on this Norton engine,..may the spirit of "K" be with you ;-)  )

You certainly take on special challenges... yuck, Norton... you must be a good friend of yours to work on engines like that... 89 mm stroke, and resulting piston speeds of 17-25 meters/sec... but no matter: As I see it, you always do clean and accurate work! My Respect!

Hi Joe, I know exactly how you feel, surgery day on Tuesday, and have only just had a taster ride to the beach. At least when I recover it will be early summer time so will give me something to look forward too.
Clay’s key tags look great 😊
