Thank you very much Forrest! Glad to hear from you. I think about you and that trip to Wyoming a lot. Was great meeting you guys. Wish we would have had more to to ride with one another.

Added some additional blinkers. The integrated works well but these make me feel a bit better and helps those to the side of me see where I'm going. They are ridiculously bright.

Just went over the whole thread.
Amazing work Jon!
Just amazing.

Can't wait to see the retro fighter plane look on your next project ..if that still happens.

Thank you Steve, unfortunately I wrecked the bike a few weeks ago. The fortunate thing is that I had it insured for an agreed value of $6K through Progressive. The damage was not that bad but because they could not fix the bike with OEM parts they totaled it out. I got a check for $6K and they charged me $75 to keep the bike. I have to repair the bike and then will put it up for sale. I am hoping to get $4-5K out of it when it is done. The next project will be a 74 KZ900 barn find I have access to. After I flip that bike I will build the Warbird Project.

I am okay, high sided the bike  . New tank (forks dented the tank) new blinkers, new pant, rear sets, and rear shocks she will be good as new. I should not have been riding the bike without correcting the rake. There were a bunch a variables, bike not finished, riding at night with a new group of guys in an area I was not familiar with. We had turned left from a road that was a 50 MPH zone to a road that was 30MPH(I did not know it was only 30 MPH). I was 3rd to take the corner, the 2 guys in front of me accelerated after making the corner, I did the same at the same rate. I looked behind me to make sure the others were making the turn. When I turned my head back forward the guy in front of me had let off the throttle, no brake, I was doing 40-45 and he was 15 feet in front of me. I panicked and hit my front brake. I went over the handle bars landed helmet and shoulder first. Pretty embarrassing. Shoulder is still not 100%. The truly depressing part is that the wife does not want me on motorcycles any longer. This puts me in a very bad spot as I love motorcycles and she will not listen to reason with. I love my wife and have to choose between the two. :pinch: She has anxiety issues and just the thought of me getting on a motorcycle again puts her into a panic attack. I am just beside myself. Steve please keep this here and not on Facebook, I can vent here without repercussion.

Damn Jon, sorry to hear about that incident.

These things do happen though from time to time.

Over the years I've been down 6 times. 2 on the track and 4 on the street.

I deserved them all except one and never did find out why my front wheel went out on me.

High sides are always the worst if it's a bike only crash and I'm sorry to hear you crashed that amazing bike.

Hope I never crash mine. Maybe a bit of time will need to pass before your wife will be better with the motorbike thing.

I've always just got back on the horse (after healing up) but when another family member's involved it complicates the outcome.

Hope it works out and I'm really hoping to see the net project come along.
