I never took apart any of the valves. I checked the clearances and installed end plugs pretty much. Put the valve cover back on and this happened. Im pretty much sure it was because low oil.

You are a true 1%'er my friend. Try to free it up, take them out and show pics. Might not be too far gone.

I think what im wanting to do is just tear down the bike all the way to the frame. Replace any worn items, repaint the frame, I know a guy the does powder coating, just start from the bottom. I mean I already have the engine torn apart and a lot of the part are rusty and could use it. I want to powder coat the engine black too. Plus, I actually have a KTM 390 Duke so I get my two wheel fix already. This is just my project.

Bummer. Well, if you had the cam caps off at any point it's still possible that the chain skipped a few sprocket teeth and messed up the timing. I assume you remembered to release the cam chain tensioner before tightening the valve cover back down? (and remembered to reset it after?) This really looks more like the kind of damage you get from incorrect cam timing. Doesn't have to be off by much to wreck an Interference engine.

I only took one cam cap off, the other stayed on. the cam and chain never moved. Didn't adjust the cam tensioner because I never touch the chain.

Did you grind the shim? I've never seen them come apart like that. Good thing it did, could have gone through the cam tunnel.
That would really make for a "F'ed up day."

Nope, never even opened the valve cover except to do the things stated. I think once the valve caps seized, the pressure from the cam lobe just crushed it or something. Im uploading the pics now.

They are case hardened steel. That would make them brittle. I'd pull the head, replace the seals, lap or grind the valves and do the guides if needed. Yes. Pics. Then we can talk about it.

Ok so, here there is a picture of the head. The red circled one is one that seized as well but no damage was done, the yellow circle is the seized one that had the shim...explode...lol. As you can see there was some damage done to it but nothing crazy....almost put a hole through it honestly. The blue circle is the cap that I jb'd also included a pic of that. It was prepped, cleaned of all oil, sanded slightly on top before I applied it. You can see the crack just goes through the center rather then the area that touches the cams. So the jb is really just there for support of that crack. The jb was wiped on the underside of the cap, so on the cam side there is no jb....just in the crack and on the top. im 100% sure they seized due to no oil. So mad at myself.
