Big up Kawasaki North America

Just wanted to give a shout out to Kawasaki North America who have been way more helpful than the factory in Japan. I have been trying to get evidence of "date of first registration" for my Ltd as Road Tax and MOT rules in the UK don't apply if the bike is over 40 years old from first registration  I tried the factory first and got the below response (do they not realise their products are being moved all over the world) which was less than helpful !!!! I then tried the North American Importer and with 24 hours I had the name of the suppling dealer and "date of first sale" which is greatly appreciated

"Thank you for contacting us.

We, however, regret to inform you that we cannot disclose such information you request, because your
motorcycle is a unit of North American spec. that does not satisfy all the requirements of Europe and such
information may be used for the registration outside the designated region or country.

We are sorry for our inability, but your understanding will be appreciated."

Will they accept a response from foreign dealer?

Well that would put a Big Kabosh on your ability to road it, properly that is. I never touch a project unless i affirm correct paper first. Your system/country i'm sure is different. 

It has a title based on the import date of 1991 so no issue- I want to take advantage of the road tax and MOT exemption for vehicles over 40 years old from 1st registration
