Hey, just wanted to see what you guys think of my progress on the bike. 82' 550 LTD. Sooner or later are wire wheels and whitewalls and turn out exhaust. I attatcehd a pic of the bike the day I picked it up so you can see what has been done.

I'm telling you, these bikes have endless potential. Every bit as custom as a TV chopper. Some of the stuff these guys do is very impressive.

You aren't kidding... makes me wish the SR weren't so clean. That's a really nice mod!

The only thing I disagree with is the "Kawasaki" side cover being blacked out, although it's a nice alternative to the tens or hundreds of hours it'd take to polish all of the chrome. :blink:

Thats awesome. I was thinking of making mine a bobber this winter, but my wife will have nowhere to sit... My question with your bike is with the back shocks, do you really need to put springs under the seat as well? Also, did you have to cut the frame to get that look?

ratmeister, the shocks are actually off the seat now. They made the seat sit to high and leaned me forward a bit. Yes the frame is chopped about 5 inches in the back. thanks for the compliment and let me know what you do with your bike.

man that bike is the coolest thing i've seen! i've got some wire wheels you can have too. if you still have the mags i could use them on my project. hit me back
