1)replace wire harness

Just kidding abought the "peice of crap" part that is:laugh:

They are call HD (for heavy duty)flashers. They are made for trailer towing. No matter if you have one light or 6 on the circuit they will flash at the same rate. Your original flasher depended on load to make it flash, meaning one burnt out bulb and the others will light but not flash because of the lower load. Get good HD flashers at a reputable auto store like NAPA. Don't go to Checkers or walmart, you'll get Chinese garbage that won't work even with the correct load.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

1) Throw suspension, wheels, brakes, tyres in skip and fit modern stuff
2) Fit 200hp turbo, intercooler and injectors
3) Throw melted pistons in skip, fit forged ones and bigger injectors again
4) Fit 300hp turbo
5) Fill tank with Sunoco 120+, open throttle and hang on...:silly: :lol:

1. get rid of points,fit factory electronic ignition,coil mod......

2.gusset frame at neck, and everywhere else you can think of, tapered neck bearings

3. 4 into 1 pipes, rejet

4. front end and wheels off early 80,s kz

5. double disc's up front, fork brace...

If I could sneak in another, it would be to "mod" the rider. Good riding ear, track days, and MSF Courses are a must. B)

This is because the 1981 gpz 550 can get squirrely on ya with all that power and short wheelbase.

1. Fork Brace
2. Steering damper
3. Front springs
4. Rear shocks
5. Tapered head bearings
this stuff won't be any good without a new/good pice of rubber on the back from Goodyear/Pirelli/Metzler etc.

NO CHEN SHINGS or however they are spelled!

Then re-wire everything.
