I have a zn700ltd that had no wiring when I got it I'm trying to wire it like a bobber just the running part but I can't get spark at the plugs I'm confused I've tried everything I know

Bear in mind that ignition wiring only needs battery+ voltage to the coils and another wire from each coil to points or Dyna-S or whatever mechanism repeatedly grounds and un-grounds the coil.
It's the un-grounding that creates the high voltage surge through the spark plug wires.

For test running, it's okay to run a hot battery+ wire to the coils, which must be disconnected whenever the engine isn't running or being started.

An interruption for whatever reason in the secondary circuit can result in a non-firing spark plug.
