Finally got time to post here

SWest - Got ya. I think the stator is working fine. At video below you can see the test I did to check the stator.




650ed - Thanks for the link. So should I consider the test I did on the wires as it is working fine?

If the stator and wires from it are working, what would be than? reg/rectifier?

I believe you will find the manual has test procedures for the rectifier/regulator. I would run those tests to see if they reveal a problem. The charging system on my 1977 KZ650 is quite different than the one on your newer bike, but in my case the test procedures clearly indicated a bad rectifier. I replaced it and the charging system starting working perfectly. Ed
