From my cross reference software the '77 rectifier was just used that one year, and only on the 650. I would look on ebay for a '77 rectifier, just to keep it simple. The part number should be 21061-031

Here's one, tinyurl.com/2bnjj8 .

Oh happy day. Well i was talkign to a friend today and i was telling him about my rectifier issues. So he tells me he has a few rectifiers laying around off some old Honda Odyssey's. So i check out the wiring diagram for it in his manual and it's perfect for what i need. I onyl started it for a second cause it was about 11:30 at night, but everythign worked. All i have to do is a few tests tomorrow to see if everything checks out and i think i'm home free. Thanks for all the help guys, it's much appreciated.

Im glad you got it working! That looks like a real fun project!

I just wanted to clarify real quick after reading this:

Does it matter which order the white wires from the alternator connect to the rectifier? I figured that from the 3 solid colors it would not matter, but I'm not certain... Thanks
1977 KZ650-B1 frame and engine. Random pile of parts for the rest.

Doesn't matter on the 77 650.

Good job Jay! Have fun and keep it upright! :)
