Sergio, I wasn't totally sure about this but what convinced me to post is the fact that on my Kawa manual front page, [manual for kz400,kz500,kz550], there is a picture of a gpz550.:blink: It may be worth looking at www.gpz550.com/gpz550/index.htm

You've already spun her around so nothing to lose ...

If cam timing is grossly off spec, you should be able to tell just by eyeballing the lobe positions at TDC.

Specifications for cam timing should be in your clymer.
Duration, open, close.

Here is a site which may have a gpz550 manual for download. the link is there but i did bnot try it

Guys, this is just to confess the unconfessable...

I GAVE UP! Bike´s at the mechanic shop right now. At least the guy is an acquaintance of a friend of mine who happens to work at Honda Argentina evaluating and ceritfying official service shops for the Honda service network down here. So the mechanic I´m talking about is a good one with enough expertise in jap multi cylinder bikes, both modern and vintage as well.

So I hope him will bring my baby back to life, and once that´s achieved a good carb sync and tuning will follow.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me in my rebirth process, next time I will not fail!
