Just a quick question.....
I'm slowly checking/stripping/re-building a police 1000 ( 1981 C4 )
At the moment I have the carbs off, have renewed all the jets/airscrews/gaskets etc but i,m curious about the plugged vents (arrowed in pic.)??
as you can see there are no pipes on any of the bowls, but should these vents be capped or open?

Those are vent lines,and they shouldn't be plugged off.
