Hey,

I'm wondering what the difference between velocity stacks and carb boots are? Is there any difference, or is a stack just the 'proper' name for it? I'm talking airbox to carb here..

Some of the boots on my bike (see below) are pretty tough. I'm going to try soaking them in armorall for a little bit to see if that loosens 'em up, but other than that - do I have any aftermarket replacement options?

thanks.

I looked on Z1 Enterprises but didn't see any boots listed for your bike, but Jeff at Z1 can probably get them for you.
Send him an e-mail or give him a call.

I always thought velocity stacks were those funnel type - usually metal - thingies which fit over the end of the carb and through which air is drawn directly in. Might have a screen over the mouth to keep out small birds.
Try Google.

I get stuff shipped from Z1 all the time. On a slow period takes maybe 10 days. Usually within a week. If going this route use US international letter post.
