I can't say for sure, but I don't see why they wouldn't. I have been looking at two stroke carbs to put on a 750 twin myself, although I may just go ahead and put EFI on a couple of them (if I can find suitable throttle bodies).

With the right size VM carbs it is no problem. But you can't use the same size VM's as the CV's. The venturi will be larger on a VM with the same size as a CV carb. And the reason for this is that the slide in a CV carb is always blocking a part of the venturi, even when they are at their highest point, and the CV carbs also work different. On the Yamaha XS650 a common convertion is from CV's to 32mm or 34mm. On the KZ400 28~30mm VM's seems to work best, whilst the orgininal CV carbs were 36mm on the early model and 32mm on the later model. Also 30mm Dell’Orto PHBH's will work on the 400, but they are slightly large. 28mm PHBH's would probably be the ideal size.

well I have two sets of VM32SS from a suzuki T 500 and want to put them on my 750twin. I think with some fooling with jets and slides I can get them to work

Hey Steell what size were you thinking of running on your twin? I was thinking of VM36's to replace my stocker carbs.
