I just recently got a 1976 KZ900.. it's 100% stock. Well, it was rebuilt last winter and it doesnt run right... period. You have to fight it to get it to start. And whenever it does run, it wants to bounce up and down. And the second you put it into gear and start rolling on the throttle, it dies. We can't even get this thing to move 2 feet. I was told that it could be the carbs are out of sync. I would really like to find someone around the Atlanta area to help me out. Or atleast just a mechanic who I can take this thing to so I can get it running right. Any and all help is great :)

Am I a mechanic?

Amateur mechanic in the sense that I don't do it for a living. I can work on pretty much anything mechanial, electrical, or electronic but have way less time to work on my own stuff than I'd like.

Will be happy to answer questions or take a look at what you are doing if you are not too far from Manuel's Tavern. I know a guy in Warner Robbins, drag racer, who is good and works out of hs house. There is a race shop over near Conyers or Covington that I can look up if you don't mind paying full shop rate for guys who build racing bikes. Mostly drag racing. Then there is a small shop on Lawrenceville Hwy about halfway between N Druid Hills and I-285 that MAY be able to work on KZ. I know they do modern road racing bikes but the mehanic is old enough that he shoudl know KZ's :-)
