This is wierd but for some reason when I lubed my cables with PJ-1 chain lube, the outer jacket covering on throttle cables seem to be reacting and the jacket is now sticky. This is lube! Why is this happening? Will my the inside with cables be in goo too?

Chain lube is stickey so it don't get thrown off the chain. Clean your cables with WD40 or kero. Lube with White Lithium or pretty much anything but chain lube. I did the same thing...once! Luck!

The wording on the can of PJ-1 Chain Lube "CHAIN" is a hint as to its application... I wouldn't brush my teeth with chain lube either... That is why they write TOOTHPASTE on those tubes bwhahaha USE CABLE LUBE!

If it fouls up the cable, imagine what it would do to a chain. Don't use that crap on your chain. I've told my story of PJ1 here before, so no need to repeat the whole thing, but to condense it, PJ1 will basically simulate 20,000 miles of riding in chain wear using good chain lube in about 1000 miles time. I said how I use a lube called "BG White Lightning" and get at least 50,000 miles out of every chain, but have a hard time figuring out where to buy it. Anyone wants it, you have to get it through a BG authorized shop. NAPA is a good one, they can get it. I just got 3 cans so I'll never run out.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
