Mikuni Slingshots 38mm

Hello Folks,
I'll found a set of Mikuni 38 mm Slingshots carbs, coming from a Suzuki GSXR 1100. I want to mount these on my Z1000j engine, which original has Mikuni BS 34 vacuum carbs.
Is there anyone who has experience with these carbs on a Z?
And I'll think i have to make adapters to make it fit om my bike.
But I'll dont know if its even possible.
So any ideas or experience would be helpful and welkom

I have not attempted what you are regarding installing the BST carbs on a Kaw 1000, so can not provide anything regarding such.. But I do have some info on the carbs. Not sure if you will find it of any help or not. Anyway here it is.

Only ever seen one KZ air cooled running them and it was a tricked out 1428cc street bike in my local area. I know about it because most of the engine work was done by a shop in my city.

 

 

 

Not the best pics but you get the idea, a no expense spared street legal drag bike. Occasionally shows up at the strip and runs no bar street legal class, keeps up with the newer big water cooled bikes.

As far as adapters I think the spacing on the head is the same as Z1 if using 1990 or below carbs according to the Mikuni catalog. GPZ1100 intake manifolds should fit.
 

Hi Injected thanx for your reaction.,And that dragbike looks impressive.the fact that the Slingshots are mounted on this bike must say something.
The manifolds for these carbs are bigger, and dont fit on the unitrack head, so thats why i have to think about something like adapters 

6061 flat plates 3/8" thick will take the M6 bolts from the manifolds and bolt up to the intake runners. A 4 jaw chuck in a lathe will allow you to put the air hole thru the middle and you can taper the hole so both sides match the head opening and the carbs throats.
