Leaking tee z250
28 Aug 2026 05:21 - 28 Aug 2026 05:23
Hey guys.
ive found a slight fuel leak. Apparently its common?
I changed the o rings then found a micro split at the bottom weeping fuel.
The issue is im having a he'll of a time finding the fuel intake tee for my 1980 z250 b1.
parts catalogue says its part no. 92005-1013. From what i understand kawasaki changed it to 92005-1148.
however this is now a discontinued item. not sure if theres another replacement i can use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I dont know what to do. I cant find a replacement. Not sure if it can be fixed.

If you are stuck and know somebody with a small lathe this is what I did - I ordered some aftermarket alloy items from Ebay which where the wrong lengths when they arrived but it was relative simple to shorten them on the lathe

Thanks. Thats good advice.
Its looking like I might have to go down that route. I'm not having much luck.
I guess i need to start looking for a similar fitting and a local metal fabrication shop.

This is what I bought, I would also suggest some quality "O" rings (not the Chinese ones that come with the fittings)

That Tee looks similar to the Keihin Tee on my 750. If you can post up some dimensions, I'll check them against a Tee I have here.

That would be nice if its the same fitting.
Heres the measurements. I did my best to be as accurate as possible.

I'll find one and measure tomorrow, but pretty sure it's the same...

The 750 Tee is extremely similar. Only difference is an overall width of 32.8mm O-rings are the same.

Re: Leaking tee z250
Today 18:03 - Today 18:07
Hmmm interesting. I wonder if the 750 fitting would have enough material to machine it down to 31mm.
Does it have around 1.8mm to spare? Maybe shave a bit off both ends?
If so im willing to try it. I've temporarily fixed the leak for now. But I 100% need a more permanent solution.
Edit:
I just realised ive put down overall length 31mm but when I add the separate sections I measured, they add up to 32mm. So its probably not far off. Will look into it further.

Re: Leaking tee z250
Today 18:06You may not even need to shave it. Go find an aftermarket Tee similar to that one I posted earlier. That one could be shaved down a couple of mm if necessary.Hmmm interesting. I wonder if the 750 fitting would have enough material to machine it down to 31mm.
