Where is the diagram that shows butterly valves?

I must me missing something. 1975 kz400d, I cannot find the parts diagram that shows the butterfly valves.
Any ideas?

They’re not available separately as far as I know.  Not sure I’ve ever seen them separate in any parts diagram when I worked at a motorcycle shop for several years long ago.  The screws are staked and not supposed to be removed from the throttle shaft.

Completed the static sink. Putting back together and hopefully doing a vacuum sink today. But I have a question about this picture. One butterfly appears to be opposite of the another. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

 

The RH carb butterfly is correct, little hole at the bottom. Someone has removed and placed the other one incorrectly. Remove and flip it BUT make sure the sharp edge coincides with the carb venturi. These butterflies are like a coin, heads or tails. They will "install' either way but only one way is correct. Look at the butterfly when you pull it. You'll note the angle milled into it. Make sure the other one is correct too. DON'T use pliers to pull it!! Just remove those two screws, flip shaft Wide open and wiggle it out with your fingers. Move throttle shaft back and forth when re-installing it, should fall into place. Lightly tighten both screws and blip the throttle shaft a few times to centralize everything then finish tightening. Should be an easy transition from Wide open to fully closed without any binding if done correctly.  

Not sure if any of this will be of help or not. But wanted to add a some service info from Kawasaki on these type of carbs. It explains what the small hole is for and lists stock settings.

There is a marking on the butterfly. not sure what it says, but do you know if it is facing toward the engine or toward the filter? I think I understand what you mean about the sharp edge, but I just wanted to make sure.

Ok guys, Super Stoked! After the advice that I received on this forum, we were able to get this bike running and running great!

Here's a summary for those in the future who may want to know.

We've been fighting a high idle for months. I got the idle down by turning the pilot screws out 3 turns, but that just caused a rich condition and a false positive. Also BLACK spark plugs
So put the Pilots screws back. 
One butterfly valve was installed upside down (by previous owner).
I was informed on this forum that that is not ok. 
That got me on the track of looking over the valves' condition. Not only was one upside down, but it was nicked on the edge. The flashlight test revealed that the other butterfly was not round! I had extra carbs so I used the best two valves and reinstalled with the edge bevels facing the correct direction and little holes on the bottom.
I also had to stretch the spring on the sync adjust because it was not providing pressure when static synced.
I then static synced on the bench.
I then put it on the bike and vacuum synced (the best I could with my brake bleeder gauge.)

This thing runs great! We just went for a ride and I'm very happy. There are other small issues that I will start new threads about. But, Man, what a good feeling!
