Turbo Pack fuel pump and regulator was created by TurboLTD1000
Hi everyone, I just bought a 1977 LTD 1000 with the ATP turbo kit on it. I found out that the fuel pump and regulator was removed while changing the battery. I tried to start it with a gravity can but only got it to wanna start or pop out of the carb.
My question is if anyone out there has that setup. There's a pump on eBay for $299. Do I need the regulator with that pump as well?

Welcome to KZRider
Before you can add posts here to respond to members you MUST post a introduction  in our NEW Members forum.
In answer to your fuel pump questions.
1  A fuel pump is not needed to run the bike or drive it as long as you are not doing prolonged flat out  acceleration passes.
2 A fuel pump is just there to keep the floatbowl  full  so a small pump regulated to low pressure  ( 2 to maybe 4 pounds )is all that is needed
3 A fuel pressure adjustable regulator is best  put inline to adjust pressures.
4 IHave a turbo LTD as well.. Mine is a Mr Turbo kit installed around 1980   I haven't run a fuel pump in years as I don't do 1/4 mile passes any longer ( To Old )
Make your intro and we can answer more of your questions

Trouble staring you bike is not uncommon until you learn how.
1  If stock carb there is no choke ( Also has it been cleaned before trying to start )
2 Carb may have a enrichment circuit but it still is not a proper choke
3 Step one is I fully twist the throttle 7 to 11 times to prime the intake ( Turbo )
4 Hit the starter button and start winging the throttle
5 Sometime I hold the throttle wide open and keep the motor spinning
Once running turbos are really cold blooded   Keep winging the throttle until it settles
Motor runs cold for a few miles then settles down and runs like a normal NA bike
I switched my bike over to a 42 mm Mikuni 10 years ago as parts to rebuild the old one were getting pretty rare
Have Fun

Thanks, that's what I thought. But since the bike has been sitting for about 40 years, I took the carburetor off, and it looks like it needs a good cl
    eaning.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm lost a little bit. Not sure if I responded to everyone. I might be doubling up. Sorry if so.

I am not a turbo guy but Holley sell's a little low pressure fuel pump called the Mighty Mite. Its good for 32GPH at 4-7PSI and I think it retails for around $75.

They also sell a carb fuel pressure regulator for about $50.

I forgot to mention that a 5/16" fuel line being gravity fed is only capable of flowing about 10-15GPH at 6" of head pressure. A typical 1.6L four cylinder engine only requires about 10-15GPH at WOT. Keep these factors in mind when selecting the fuel pump.

Is that a Gerex ignition box on the left rear side?  Smart to keep that box cool.
