I've had a persistent issue with cylinder #4 running lean.
Didn't matter what spark plug or plug wire I installed, or what jetting adjustments were attempted on the carburetor.

While viewing the image below...
 

I noticed something about the choke rod.
The #4 finger bracket kept that choke plunger closed, but it's misadjustment allowed for the others to open...slightly.

The finger brackets have been carefully reset to apply equal pressure.

Had a persnickety half-naked neighbor yell at me from his front porch (directly across the street from my garage) yesterday, loudly complaining that my recent tuning marathon was bothering him.

This caught me completely by surprise, and I didn't know what to say, considering I'm not quite finished with it yet...

I had been thinking about putting the competition baffle back in the meg, but am having reservations for the moment.

Hmmm...what should I do?

I guess that depends "how much you care" about his opinion

I do, but I don't...

 

Maybe a Dunkin Donuts gift card will help?

It might also depend on his ability or likelihood of making trouble for you. Perhaps a friendly chat over a couple of cold ones could defuse the situation.

Most avid gun owners are friendly folks and perfectly willing to have calm, rational conversations with their neighbors.

Looks like a couple of cold beverages or a Dunkin gift card are your best bets.  

Considering my angry-bitter neighbor's partner moved out of their house several years ago...

I have no desire to have a conversation with the man, but intend to compensate by spending less time tuning and an awful lot more time riding.
