Hi all, one of my rare posts.
I have two 81 Kz750 one is a Ltd and the other is a z750 with the large tank.
The Ltd has a p40 petcock and the z has a p24.
The p24 is different to the 40 only in the internal distribution of the selector.
I have put a standard repair kit in and fuel runs through, I can only surmise that the plunger does not travel deep enough or is a different size.
Does anyone have any experience or opinions on this ,
Thanks og

I am not sure what p24 and p40 refer to, but according to the fitment chart, it looks like they all use the same diaphragm assembly.

If fuel is running through freely with the engine off, it is possible that the petcock was reassembled incorrectly or that the lever is set to PRI.
It could also be a faulty aftermarket kit.
