How long of a tube, if it’s to long want it give a false reading?

A long tube is no problem but don't loop it down any more than necessary; guide it up from the float bowl drain up to the side of the carb and secure there.

Interested in your journey! I would suggest getting a Pingel tap for your tank. I am sure it isnt as deep...and there are lots of different outlet configs....plus they flow way better.... i have one on my KZ1000 with 36mm RS carbs...very thirsty!

Can't help you with the petcock but I do know that typically there is more of the treaded adjuster showing on the sync screws above the nut. If you are not careful you won't have an effective range of idle adjustment with the knob.

Something told me that didn’t look right, cause I near bout ran out of threads messing with them that day, I got to figure out where I’m going wrong on the syncing.

Does the pully stop have to be in a certain spot to bench sync. I’m missing something, cause off a bench sync it’s idle is to high, backing off the idle adjustment screw don’t work cause I run out of screw so I have to adjust the needle slides and they so far in I almost run out of threads.

You adjust the idle screw about 1/4 way THEN do your bench sync.

Ok, what bout the adjustment screws on the slides at the top, u shouldn’t almost run out of threads should u, there’s a flat washer and a lock washer under the nut , I checked partzilla and those should be there.

You should be able to adjust them back about 1/2 way.

I’ll give it a try tomorrow, wonder if I have the right slides for these carbs.

Slide cutaway doesn't affect idle.
They affect mixture strength from around 1/8th to 1/2 throttle.
