Yes I like the carbtune pro…

Happy to hear your on the down side of your tuning...

I just picked up a set of 28 pumpers... wont get to rebuild for a while... let us know how they work... I think the pump helps off idle hard acceleration by richening up the air/fuel ratio

I will definitely keep y’all up to date on everything, yep I got lucky on the pumpers all I did was clean them and replace the spring and diaphram and they work didn’t have to mess with linkage it squirts a small stream right beneath the slides when a pump the throttle

With pods/open carbs you need those Air corrector jets fitted to fill the low end fuel gap and cure the lumpy bottom end.
Make sure you use quality free flowing pods K&N etc as the cheaper Emgo type etc are actually restrictive and will drown the motor with an over rich mix.[/quote]

Thanks for this info Zed! I'm buying a set of your machined air corrector jets for my stock 26's with pods.

Yes! I make these at home as a hobby in small batches to order for the UK Z1 owners club members and list any surplus online for non members searching for them.
I hope you don't feel there was any deception and thought this was widely known on KZR as there have been quite a few threads and discussions on their function etc.
They do the job they are designed for and I would never recommend them unless they were really needed whether I was the supplier or not.
I only make these In the capacity of an enthusiast to help fellow Z owners at minimal cost in my retirement and any small profit goes back into materials for the next batch to keep the supply going.
Sorry if there was any misunderstanding, it never crossed my mind especially with the Q&A's that you didn't know I was the seller.

Absolutely no problem zed, I just thought I looked like a fool for not knowing who I was talking too lol. But no deception no problems. I’m new to this forum and didn’t realize yet who were suppliers. But it ain’t no problem I can’t wait to get them and see the difference in the bike.

I wouldn't call myself a supplier really.
I just made a couple of sets for myself as they have been out of production for 30 odd years then the word got out in the club and I was asked to make a few more.
It hasn't exactly snowballed into anything that could pay my bar tab but I sell around set or two a month on average and that covers costs and materials to make more and the real satisfaction is just being able to help a few people keep their Zeds running and keep the knowledge out there.
Look up LEON MOSS ( LEDAR Developments) on google.
He was the genius over here who came up with these, built his own dyno and developed tons of other stuff.
He died in 1990 and these jet kits just faded away after that..
They are well known over here to bikers who are old enough to remember and we all had them in our modded bikes in the 70's and 80's to get them running right but from what I know now they never really made it across the pond.

I’ll look that up. I’ve never heard of them till now but then again this is the first time I’ve really looked into it. I’ve been riding since I was a teenager and I’m 41 now but all my stuff was always stock outside of a slip-on exhaust or something simple like that and usually took my bikes to the shop but the shop bills these days are outrageous so I figured I’m decent with my hands and have a good concept on motors so why not just learn to do my own work. I’ve had bikes anywhere from 125 enduros to V65 1100 magma never a KZ until now something bout there sound that pulls me in lol

Happy new year everybody.
Update: Got the jets in from Zed , installed them yesterday and got to drive it today. First impression it does idle better not as lumpy. So for the ride they do make a difference, off throttle is more crisp at low end, runs throw the rpm range better it don’t feel boggy anymore. Was going down the highway at bout 70 didn’t down shift just rolled the throttle and u can feel the bike pick up vs it having to build up speed. Out of a turn or sharp curve throttle response is better doesn’t have the flat spot anymore.

Long story short they work and I’m happy I got them. Thanks Zed.
