Need an aftermarket O ring for part#92055-1088
29 Jun 2014 18:27
Does anyone know what the dimensions are and have a source for less expensive o ring p/n 92055-1088. These are the o-rings that hold the polyester caps in place over the pilot jets on CV-34 Keihin carbs (like on my 82 KZ750 H3)?
Partzilla wants $8 ea. for a tiny o-ring!

If you have your carbs apart, you can measure the aluminum bore and the polyester groove diameter and height. If not, I can check my 2nd set of carbs next weekend for you.

I would just get a Metric O-Ring kit in Viton(Performs much better with todays ethanol infested fuels) should be able to find the correct one in the kit and will have plenty of other o-rings that will come in handy on your bike. All for less than the cost you stated
One source is Harbor Freight, another is Mcmaster-Carr and probably Granger
Harbor Freight is probably cheaper but I'm very leery of them so I purchased mine at Mcmater-Carr 20 some dollars and will have replacements anywhere a o-ring pops up

Did you find a source for this 0-ring? I'm looking myself.

I sell O-ring kits. Check the Vendor forum if interested.
Regarding the o-rings for the Keihin CV34 carbs...
These are the O-rings you need to do a full and complete rebuild. Size listed as thickness x ID in mm
Pilot Screw: 1.2 x 2.0
Pilot Plug: 1.5 x 2.8 or 1.5 x 3.0
Fuel Tee, Transfer Tubes: 2.0 x 5.5
Drain Screws: 1.4 x 4.0 or 1.5 x 4.0
Float Bowl: 2.0 x 67
BTW, it's critical to ungang the carbs and change the tuel tee and transfer tube O-rings. On every set I've rebuilt, the original O-rings were hard as a rock and cracked easily.
