float bowl drain plug? could it just be the wrong plug in 28's? not sure if thats even possible, but im new to these carbs so who knows

the inside diameter is 28mm, does the 26mm's also have the same?

The later 28s had the regular bowl without the jet access.
In the picture with the choke lever,look under the screw and on the flange near where it fits into the rubber boots there will be some numbers. Same on other side.
The best way to find the jets size is to remove the bowls and look .

Glad you got photobucket up and going. Those are 28s. Most 26s that I have seen had the air screw sealed.

ok i believe the choke lever side says 110 with a 9 under it, and the opposite side says PO with an 11 under it?

as far as I know stock internals(supposed 20yr barn find), 4-1 header into unknown muffler, pods that havnt been run yet. Just did a head gasket on it and everything in the heads looked clean an real low wear.

I think they look more like 28s than 26s - the single fuel inlet and the idle adjustment on the bottom make me think MII.
Do see if you can get the ID mark that Roy spoke of - just below the choke lever. With the ID we may be able to ID the carbs for sure.
