No one should get mad at you for asking an honest question.
Need to know more about your carbs.
My 77 has BS34 carbs that came off of a later year model kz so, if you have a set of carbs that came off of an earlier kz {like a set of VM26) then they should fit. You will need the proper size boots and the cable(s) will probably be different. Most likely your later model bike will have a vacuum operated petcock and if the carbs are older they may not have a port for that.

If you have both sets of carbs, remove the set that is on the bike and install the ones in question.

The CV type carbs have square tops and the earlier VM series carbs have oblong tops.

Your bike should have the larger boots already.

The boots are the rubber pieces the carbs fit it.

Some of the CV carbs had aluminum tops and some had steel tops. Some have plastic. Roy

FWIW, you're posts are somewhat confusing.
Learn to use punctuation and sentence structure and you'll get more concise replies to questions we can more clearly understand. ;) Kapeesh? :P

I take it you have a J model KZ1000 that you want to install carbs off of an 1100 on to??
From the carb pictures, I don't know what you have , but they don't look like J model carbs to me. I may be wrong.
What is wrong with the original carbs that came on the bike, other than you have them in 200 pieces now? :silly:
Not sure why you are taking your carbs that far down to work on them. It isn't necessary to completely dissasemble them to clean the bodies and jets.
The carbs off of most any J model should work on your bike. Picking up a full unmolested set should be fairly easy. Early model 26s or 28s will work with the proper manifolds and cables.

Okay, nobody, slow down, take a breath, relax.
First things first:
All of your photos are labeled as kz1100 carbs.
Yet, you mention that they are from two different bikes. What we are trying to determine is if the carbs in the photos are from two different bikes, the black ones are the ones you want to use and the silver ones are not? Or are we wrong here?

Please answer that first.

If they are indeed from two different bikes and yet one set is in much better shape than the others and that is why you want to use them -then- you can probably put the desired carbs on the other set's rails. But clarify what you want to do first.
One step at a time, friend.
