Interesting. I may try this out on the carbs for my '66 A1 when I get that project going. I'm betting 45 yr old carbs will need more than a 36 hour soak! LOL!

Looked pretty good. The only rubber was the boot on the choke and it looks pretty good. Still very pliable and not sticky like it was broken down at all.

hey boostable , what kind of wire brush setup did you use ? looks alot better than my results . i cant get into the corners like that . everybody says , use a dremmel wheel , but they just dont last and they are expensive . any tips appreciated.

I used the wire brush wheel on my bench grinder, set on med speed. Works pretty good..
