does bs38 mikuni work on a 82 750 twin?

i'm just wondering if the bs38 mikunis will work on the 82 750 I just bought. or does it have to be the bs34s. I really don't see the difference between the two. can someone let me know please?

The main difference is in the throat diameter. I'm sure they could be made to work if you could find the correct intake manifolds to bolt them on. Would need some tweaking.

IIRC the fisrt 4 years of the 750 twin production came with BS38s, so they should be able to work on the later version.
