Carb bowl screw size
27 Aug 2011 09:32
I am ordering a stage 3 jet kit from z1enterprises and want to order new bowl screws for my 81 kz1100. Is there a place to find, or can someone tell me what size these screws are? They only have them listed by size and not by application.
Thanks

in the shop manual there is a conversion/threads/mm/length chart and diagrams-count sheet for the kawis and the model req ect...right???
Z-1 will know what ones to give you...or you could just pull one and go match it in the bolts bins at any higher end hard ware...mom and pop ones are best and may have the exact count/material choices...ss...galv..ect...and mmm...cheap too

For 1989 KZ1100-A1 shaft, kawasaki.com lists the carb bowl attachment screws as 5x14 pan head screw.
Some owners prefer replacing the pan heads with allen heads.
Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc.
Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

5mm sounds rather large. I just bought new float bowl screws for my Mikuni VM24 carbs and they were 3mm x 16mm. I know VM26 use the same size too.
