Carb or carbs? A regular turbo charger? With one carb?
If so run a S/S Harley carb, they have that nice cover. Drag bikes do it.

There is a guy here on the forum that is running a blow through setup on his KZ, think the thread was "jetting for turbo" or something similar. Search and I'm sure the thread will come up.

Turbos and EFI go together so well, so why would you want to use a carb? Ride a Kawasaki 750 Turbo (EFI), then compare it to a carbed turbo, and tell me which you'd rather ride.
Just can't beat EFI on a turbo "street" bike, if nothing else matters other than wide open throttle (drag racing) then a carb is the way to go.
Same reasons turbos were not popular in the automotive world until the advent of EFI.
But whatever floats your boat.

I worked on KZ that had a set of throttlebodys, plenum, and recalebrated ecu off a 750 turbo with a front mounted mitsu turbo. 300hp I'll see if I can get an illusion posted. Blow through setups are possible but not recomended. Carbs are missing the extra circuit required to do it right, without it you are going to hit a limit you can't exceed.

Simply put, standard carbs….NO!
I have a turbo 650 Yamaha (factory) and also 3 spare sets of carbs…, which leads me to your question; you need pressurised carbs as the extra boost will effect your fuel delivery…. I have a set that I will be putting on my next project, as this is the easiest and most of all cheapest way I believe to set up a turbo on a bike …
You have been suggested that efi is the only way to go…. EFI is a far superior form of fuel delivery regardless. If you have an aftermarket computer then remapping is a very simple process… how can you beat that.
If you can afford it!
Fuel delivery for my bike is at a cost of roughly 150 to 200 for the carbs (not really but that’s what I have seen them for on ebay, mine came with the bikes I bought)…
May I ask, how much is a set of throttle bodies and efi management system….
Hmmm, that was rhetorical as I know the cost and have the carbs instead…. Do research for yourself and you will find out that programmable aftermarket computer management systems are not cheap by any standard neither are a good set of throttle bodies…

I'm working for a place called Dakota Performance. We're an arctic cat dealer but mostly we work on modifying arctic cat snowmobiles. Especially turbos. If you really want to turbo it with carbs use a single carb mounted on the outside of the intake impeller so the turbo sucks through it. It's going to be way easier to jet and get your fuel/boost settings right.
That being said you simply can't beat EFI. On our sleds we run the two stock injectors on the pump gas systems but even with our fuel maps we can't get enough fuel in so we boost the fuel pressure at a one to one ratio with the boost pressure.
On race gas we run 4 injectors and we still have to boost the fuel pressure. But once its all hooked up all we do is plug the computer in and alter our fuel maps and you can insantly change all your A/F at any RPM or Boost. You can then log what is happening when you're driving and look at it later. With a carb you juct don't have that.
